Environmental Responsibility
One of our core values is taking responsibility – not only in the way we work, but in taking care of the world we live in. Every excavation project carries ecological risks, so we take proactive steps to prevent damage. Our team ensures proper erosion control and stormwater management, meeting Virginia DEQ and West Virginia DEP standards.
We implement drainage systems and sediment filters to protect waterways and reduce our carbon footprint. By actively monitoring and managing these factors, we minimize environmental impact and uphold our commitment to sustainability and community leadership.
Our dedication extends to specialized services that go the extra mile in protecting and preserving our environment.
Committed to reducing our environmental impact on every single project.
In compliance with Virginia DEQ and West Virginia DEP standards, we have several permit-holding RLD’s (Responsible Land Disturbers) on our crew that help to conduct proper erosion control installation and maintenance while under construction. Our main goal is to reduce our carbon footprint.
DEQ Compliance Guarantee
H&W Constructions follows a firm DEQ Compliance Guarantee, which ensures that all our projects adhere to the rigorous environmental guidelines set by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Our team is well-versed in the specific DEQ/DEP regulations and standards applicable to construction projects in Virginia and West Virginia. We pledge to maintain strict compliance with these guidelines throughout every phase of our work, ensuring that we protect and preserve the natural environment.
Geo Membrane Lines
Impermeable Geo Membrane Lines offer a solution when you need to seal and hold water in a pond. They can additionally be used for primary and secondary containment of liquid to keep things out of groundwork. H&W has installed many of these lines in both aboveground and below ground ponds.
